Brooke founded the firm in late 2004 after returning from London where she had worked as a Project Architect for the internationally acclaimed Anouska Hempel Design on a diverse range and size of hotel, retail and residential projects. Brooke still retains a consultancy with AHD. Prior to that, Brooke worked for the Sydney office of Denton Corker Marshall (now Johnson Pilton Walker) where she was Project Architect for the Primary Exhibitions and interiors of the Melbourne Museum and worked on a range of other projects including hotels, schools and hospitals. She was also a director of Pivot Design, a practice in partnership with architect Sharon Fraser.

Brooke is actively involved in the arts and is Secretary of the Asian Australian Artists Association (Gallery 4a), a non profit arts institution in Hay Street Sydney. She was also the arts journalist for Culture Magazine in the early 90s. She has lived and worked in Japan and is inspired by the art and architecture of many Asian countries.

She is highly committed to the education process of future designers and regularly tutors for UNSW Interior Architecture course.
